
Mr. Jarred Dodd
Mr. Dodd is the Head Band Director at Rushing Middle School, and teaches beginner trumpet, horn, double reeds, the Symphonic Winds, and the Jazz Band.

Mr. Dodd received his B.A. In Music Education from Texas Tech University, under the direction of Dr. Sarah McKoin and Dr. Keith Dye. At TTU he was a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, as well as athletic bands, the Court Jesters and The Goin' Band. Prior to his position at Rushing MS, Mr. Dodd served as Assistant Director in Frenship ISD under the mentor-ship of Mrs. June Bearden from 2012-2015, Assistant Director of Frank Seale MS 2015-2017, Head Director of Frank Seale MS 2017-2019, and Assistant Director at Reynolds MS from 2019-2020.
Mr. Dodd's bands have consistently earned "Superior" ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-reading as well as other music festivals across Texas, including being named Runner Up at the North Texas Festival of Distinction in 2022.
Mr. Dodd is an active performing musician and clinician. He was selected as a two-year TMEA All State Musician on Trumpet. His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Honorary Band Fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi.
Mr. Dodd and his wife Alison reside in Prosper with their son, Spencer.
